Thrive has several ways to navigate your accounting system - the navigation bar, side menu, and modules list. This guide will through each of these, as an overview of the basic the system.

How to use the Navigation Bar and User Menu

Navigation Bar

You can use the navigation bar to quickly move around Thrive by using Quick Actions, manage your user account, switch companies or logout. Let’s look at it in detail:

  1. Side Menu Toggle - Hide/show the side menu in Thrive
  2. Quick Actions Dropdown - Open or close the Quick Actions menu.
  3. Company Name - The name of your company. If you have company colours(link to document on this) enabled, this company will have the colour you selected in company setup.
  4. User Menu Dropdown - Open or close the User Menu.

  1. Profile - Manage your user account for Thrive - you can change your name, phone number, update your password, and reset your MFA Device(link to MFA video)
  2. Switch Company - If you are part of multiple companies, you can click this link to open the select a company page.
  3. Logout - Logs you out of Thrive. Note: you will be logged out automatically after 1 hour.

How to use the Side Menu

The side menu is used to navigate between each module within Thrive. Let’s look at each Module:

  1. Home - The home page for Thrive. If enabled, this page will display your dashboards for sales, customers & suppliers, and company overview (link to dashboards document)
  2. Sales - This is where you manage customers, create sales transactions, and run reports.
  3. Purchases - This is where you manage suppliers , create purchasing transactions, and run reports.
  4. Stock - This is where you manage inventory , create stock transactions, and run reports.
  5. General Ledger - This is where you manage your General Ledger accounts, create journals & budgets, and run reports.
  6. Bank - This is where you manage Bank Accounts, create Bank transactions, and run reports.
  7. App Store - This page lets you browse the available app integrations for Thrive. If you have an integration enabled, you can access it’s integration settings from here.
  8. Admin - This is where your company admin manages user access and sets up your company in Thrive.

How to Navigating Between Modules

There are 2 ways to navigate a Module in Thrive:

Side Menu - Dropdown Categories

  1. To expand the list of pages in a module, first use the dropdown icon 🔽 on each module in the Side Menu to see the categories.

  3. Then expand a category by using the dropdown 🔽 icon again. This will show the list of pages within this category. Clicking a link will take you to that page in Thrive.

Module Pages

  1. Click any of the menu options in the Side Menu will take you to a specific Module.

  3. Each page is categorized by the type of information contained within:
    1. Transactions - Transaction lists
    2. Maintenance - Record lists
    3. Enquiry - Used to Make queries relating to records and transactions
    4. Reporting - For generating downloadable reports for records and transactions.
  4. You can open any page by simply clicking the link under each category.

Tip: Can’t find the page you need? You can filter the list of records by using the ‘Filter’ box under the page name.
