Customer Maintenance: How to Create Contacts and Delivery Addresses

Introduction to Contacts and Delivery Addresses

There are two additional records for customer accounts - Additional Contacts, which allow you to add other people for emailing statements and invoices to, and Additional Delivery Addresses, which are alternative locations you can delivery sales transactions to.

This guide will cover how to create additional contacts and additional delivery addresses for a customer.

Creating Additional Contacts

  1. Open the overflow menu for a customer, and click Contacts. For more information on the overflow menu for a customer, see How to Navigate Customer Accounts Records.
  2. On the Additional Contacts page for your customer, click New Customer.
  3. This will open a pop up with fields you can enter for a contact.

  5. You can fill out the following fields:
    1. First name - The first name of your contact. (Required)
    2. Surname - The surname of your contact.
    3. Phone Number - The phone number for your contact.
    4. Note - A note you can add about this contact. Example - “Only contact on Mon→Wed”
    5. Receive Sales Invoices - A checkbox to allow this contact to receive sales invoices. Yes/No.
    6. Receive Customer Statements? - A checkbox to allow this contact to receive customer statements. Yes/No.
  6. Click Save to finish creating the contact.

Creating Additional Delivery Addresses

  1. Open the overflow menu for a customer, and click Delivery Addresses. For more information on the overflow menu for a customer, see How to Navigate Customer Accounts Records.
  2. On the Additional Delivery Addresses page for your customer, click New Delivery Address.
  3. This will open a pop-up with fields you can enter for a Delivery Address.

  5. You can fill out the following fields:
    1. Contact name - The name of your contact.
    2. Phone Number - The phone number for your contact.
    3. Address - The first address field for your delivery address (Required)
    4. Address 2 - The second address field for your delivery address (Required)
    5. Town / City - The town or city for the delivery address (Required)
    6. Country - A dropdown field containing for selecting the country for your delivery address. (Required)
    7. ℹ️
      Note: The country for a delivery address will always default to your home country.
    8. County - A dropdown field containing for selecting the county for your delivery address. (Required)
    9. Eircode - The postal code for your delivery address.
  6. Click Save to finish creating the delivery address.

How do I edit a contact?

  • You can edit a contact in Thrive by opening the additional contacts page, clicking the overflow menu (3 dots), and clicking Edit.

How do I deactivate a contact?

  • You can deactivate a contact in Thrive by opening the additional contacts page, clicking the overflow menu (3 dots), and clicking Deactivate.
ℹ️
Note: Deactivating a contact will remove the contact from any future customer statements or sales invoices you send to a customer, until the contact is reactivated.

Delivery Addresses

How do I edit a Delivery Address?

  • You can edit a delivery address in Thrive by opening the additional delivery addresses page, clicking the overflow menu (3 dots), and clicking Edit.

How do I deactivate a Delivery Address?

  • You can deactivate a delivery address in Thrive by opening the additional delivery addresses page, clicking the overflow menu (3 dots), and clicking Deactivate.
ℹ️
Note: Deactivating a delivery address will remove the option to select the delivery address from any future sales transactions you create, until the delivery address is reactivated.
