How to Setup MFA in Thrive

Introduction to Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a security measure designed to protect your login credentials by adding an additional layer of security to the login process. In Thrive, this is via one-time passwords you generate in apps such as Google Authenticator.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to setup MFA in Thrive, on a new login or after an MFA reset.

MFA is setup when you login for the first time in Thrive. If you’ve requested a reset for MFA from your profile, or from support, the process is the same.

  1. Login to Thrive using your email and password.
  2. Download an authenticator app to your smartphone, such as Google Authenticator.
  3. Open your authenticator app and tap Add Code scan QR Code.
  4. When the camera appears in app, scan the QR Code on-screen from Thrive.
  5. 🪄
    Tip: If you can’t scan the QR code, use the Secret Key beneath the QR code. You can type it into Google Authenticator by tapping Add Code → Enter a setup Key.
  6. Once the six-digit code appears in your authenticator, click continue in Thrive.
  7. Enter the six-digit code, and click Save.
